Solana Microscope brings decoded program activity into monitoring dashboards
The open-source tool distinguishes program events from failures in the monitoring pipeline itself.

The release briefing
A 5 October Solana announcement introduces Microscope, an open-source, self-hosted tool for monitoring programs and optional Squads multisig activity. It decodes instructions and events using a program’s interface description, feeds Grafana dashboards and supports Slack, Telegram and PagerDuty alerts.
Two different kinds of failure
The announcement separates failed on-chain instructions from problems in the monitoring pipeline. A quiet dashboard could reflect little activity or missing data. Microscope describes health alerts for conditions such as a stalled stream or stale polling, alongside alerts about program activity.
An operations question, not a safety guarantee
Before relying on any monitoring system, an operator needs a way to establish that the data path and notification channel are working. Monitoring is not prevention, and an alert does not reverse an on-chain action. CoinPressroom has reviewed the announcement, not deployed or security-audited Microscope. The next useful evidence would be a documented operational test with observed alerts and failure recovery.
Keep the evidence in view.

Why Solana applications use so many accounts
An address may represent data, an executable program or a token holding—not a person.
The small payment memo with a big accounting job
Reconciliation is part of a payment product, not an optional afterthought.
